Me and Minky
Hello, I’m Jennifer Mappin and welcome to The Pet Portrait Studio.
I am a self-confessed crazy cat lady and my mission is to paint original pet portraits that create lasting memories for pet lovers. Based in Melbourne, I share my studio with my beautiful 16yo Birman cat Minky – or should I say he shares the space with me! I also have the pleasure of three resident magpies who visit twice a day for a feed and a song. Animals have always been a special part of my life and I am passionate about animal welfare, supporting animal rescue organisations.
Having studied Art & Design at Monash University I went on to establish a graphic design business in Fitzroy, which successfully operated for 30 years. From there I established another business, Design Mondo, designing and selling bespoke wall art prints. But my heart now lies with painting original pet portraits for the overwhelming joy it brings to my customers – and what could be better than painting dogs and cats all day!
As you can see I’ve been very busy for a number of years, but with that brings years of experience with customer service and business practices, and most importantly my decades of dedication as a professional artist and designer. I can proudly say I’m widely recognised as a trusted art source and I never compromise on quality.
